It is important to note that Le Pooch only employs trained dog walkers and pet sitters. We do not hire independent contractors!

Many dog walkers and pet sitters hire independent contractors, virtual strangers who are not trained, to care for your pets. This is not the case at Le Pooch.

Le Pooch only sends out our well-trained employees to provide your pet services. Every member of our staff is fully trained to care for your pets, and has learned the detailed Le Pooch policies and procedures, before they're permitted to begin providing services. Each staff member has been personally trained by the owner, Erin Knable, to perform the highest quality of pet care.

Erin Knable - Owner/Full-Time Dog Walker & Pet Sitter

My name is Erin Knable and I am a natural born animal lover. I have been pet sitting and walking dogs for over five years and have made long-lasting relationships with my clients.

My clan currently consists of 2 rescue cats and a rescue dog that I adopted. I also foster cats and dogs from Columbus Dog Connection. If you are interested in fostering, please feel free to contact me or Columbus Dog Connection.

I grew up in Bexley, Ohio. I received my Associate's Degree from Columbus State Community College and my Bachelor's Degree in Human Ecology with a major in textiles and clothing from The Ohio State University. I spent a few years working in retail before realizing that it wasn’t my true love.

I decided to open up Le Pooch so I could spend my time caring for animals. I always treat my client’s pets if they were my own and I spoil them rotten!

Jackie - Full-Time Dog Walker & Pet Sitter

Hi! I'm Jackie, from Bexley, Ohio. I have two cats (I like to refer to cats as kikis) named Atticus and Jinx that are five years old and also brothers.

I've always had cats growing up but one of my favorite pet memories was when I was younger my brother and I had pet rats. Our favorite rat's name was Pebbles, and he would unscrew the lid to his cage and sleep on the foot of my parents bed like a dog. Seriously, I swear!

I attended Columbus State Community College (Go Cougars!) and Kent State University, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies & Applied Communication. My concentration was in graphic design and I minored in photoillustration.

The most rewarding part of taking care of people's pets is the satisfaction knowing that I help make clients' lives less stressful, or make their vacation more relaxing by taking care of and hanging out with their pets. It feels good knowing that people trust me with their doggies and kikis!

When I'm not working I enjoy exploring and discovering new restaurants, reading, playing with my cats, relaxing and watching Netflix, practicing my global accents (don't be alarmed if I sound Russian sometimes). Listening to music around bonfires and being in nature are also my favorite pastimes.

Amy - Full-Time Dog Walker & Pet Sitter

My name is Amy, and I grew up in a suburb of Dayton, Ohio. I’ve always been an animal lover. When I was younger, I would make my own pet sitting fliers and put them in all of the mailboxes on our street. My parents didn’t know until they started getting phone calls. Luckily, they supported their eight year old daughter and allowed me to watch dogs, cats, and even two vivacious guinea pigs!

After graduating high school, I moved to Columbus and adopted a fluffy black cat. Two years later, I moved in with my partner, Sam, and inherited another amazing black cat. These days, I live in Victorian Village with Sam and our two kitties, Dude and Luna.

I graduated from Columbus College of Art & Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. I spend my free time printmaking, thrift store shopping, and spending time with my family (pets included). I also play the ukulele and have taken a liking to watching QVC.

Caroline - Part-Time Dog Walker & Pet Sitter

Hi! My name is Caroline. I am a Columbus native and longtime animal lover.

I currently have a mini-Rex rabbit named Vishnu and am a step-mother to 2 mischievous felines named Plum and Pear. I find every possible excuse to visit my parents' 3 dogs (all Cavalier King Charles Spaniels) to give them love and walks.

I love making new dog-friends and figuring out just how to talk, play, and walk with each furry individual.

I have a Fine Arts degree from the Columbus College of Art & Design. In my free time between travel adventures I practice yoga, participate in church group, volunteer at the foodbank, and cook lots of delectable plant-based foods for friends and family.

Leah - Part-Time Dog Walker & Pet Sitter

My name is Leah Grode. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from California State University, Bakersfield and now work as a legal assistant for a law firm in downtown Columbus.

I'm 31 and live in Dublin, Ohio with my fiance, Jayme, my cat, Freedom, and my dog, Lilyflower.

Freedom is a small cat with tons of energy. During the day she likes to drink kitty milk and chase her tail but at night she's all about cuddling.

Lilyflower is a rare breed of dog known as a Kai Ken who loves to stop when we are walking, turn around, and run back to me to kiss me. She was a birthday present in 1997 so we have lots of happy memories. We used to jog together (or even Rollerblade!) but now that she's older, she likes to tag along on trips to the grocery store or take a slow stroll around the park.

I accepted a part-time position with Le Pooch because of my love for animals. I've had cats in my life forever and Lily since 16. I sympathize with people in my position who can't always come home at lunchtime for that extra walk or aren't comfortable putting their loved one in a kennel while they are away. I enjoy the peace of mind that this job allows me to bring to people.

Le Pooch is now hiring! This is a part-time position that will lead to a full-time position. This position would provide all our services offered.

We are looking to hire a person with the following qualifications:

• 18 years or older
• Animal lover who has their own pets
• Exhibit good communication and a people person
• Detailed oriented with a strong work ethic
• Must excel in time management
• Professional at all times
• Energetic person
• A flexible schedule with evening and weekend availability
• Ability to drive to all of our service areas
• Interested in long term work

Applicant must have:

• Reliable transportation with insurance and a good driving record
• A smart phone with 24 hours access to email that is carried at all times
