Why use a pet sitting or dog walking service?

This is the first question you need to ask yourself. I use a pet sitter while I am on vacation. As a pet owner, I want my pets, both cats and dogs, to feel as comfortable as possible while I am away from home. They are the loves of my life.

Whether I am working long hours, running errands or on vacation, whatever reasons they may be, I would rather my pets stay in their routine and in their own environment than board them. Taking them out of their own comfort zone can cause stress on your pet. Having someone you trust come to your home and care for your pets is the best option for all of us. It is affordable and easier on everyone in the household. It will provide you with the comfort of knowing that your pets are getting the proper exercise, love, and basic care they needed while you're gone.

Unlike other pet services, we provide your pets with a lavish experience in a comfortable environment. We indulge your pets with lots of love and attention. Our staff is professional, honest, and reliable. We always show up to our appointments and spoil our client's pets! We love what we do!!

Many pet sitters and dog walkers will either charge you for extra time spent during an emergency or not stick around. Le Pooch’s policy is to stay during an unexpected situation until it is cleared up. WE DO NOT CHARGE EXTRA.

What is your service area?

LePooch provides luxury pet services around the Columbus and Central Ohio area. Our service area includes Bexley, Eastmoore, Downtown Columbus, German Village, Merion Villiage, the Short North, and surrounding areas. Please contact us for more details.

Do you travel outside of your service area?

We do travel outside our service area. Unfortunately, with the cost of gas, we have to charge an extra fee based on your location. For more information, please contact us.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes! Gift certificates for pet services are a fantastic practical gift. Please note that gift certificates are only available for clients in our service area. Consultations are required and gift certificates expire 6 months after purchase date. Please contact us to arrange the purchase of gift certificates in any dollar amount.

What is the first step to booking a service with Le Pooch?

The first step is to contact us either at (614)657-3767 or email us at erin@lepooch.net. All emails are answered within 24 hours.

What does the consultation consist of and is it required?

The consultation IS required prior to scheduling any new clients. The owner of Le Pooch and a staff member will schedule a time to come to your home to meet you and your pet. It is a great way to see if we are a good fit for you and your pet. Also at this time we go over all of the details, including your pets routine, scheduling, pricing, any specific information regarding your pet, and more. Consultations are scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday evenings after 5pm. If there is a scheduling issue, we are flexible. Please make sure to schedule your consultation at least 72 hours in advance.

How does payment work?

At the consultation we will discuss pricing. We will need to be paid in advance in full before any services are provided. We only accept cash or check. Please make out all checks to "Le Pooch".

Yes, we are happy to provide references. We have many!

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

Dog Walks

We have a 24 hour cancellaton policy. If you cancel a scheduled services less than 24 hours in advanced, there is a $10.00 cancellation fee.

Pet Sitting (includes cat visits)

We have a different cancellation policy for pet sitting.

Holiday - 50% of the total for the scheduled pet sitting is due if a weeks notice has not been given.

1-2 Days - 50% of the total for scheduled pet care is due, 50% of the total will be refunded.

3 Days - 25% of the total for scheduled pet care is due, 75% of the total will be refunded.

4 + Days - No charge, refund in full.

Will Le Pooch cancel on us?

Le Pooch has never cancelled a scheduled service for any of our clients. Le Pooch's mission is to provide the best pet services to all of our clients. Le Pooch reserves the right to limit time outside in extrememe or weather conditions. This includes severe thunderstorm and terential downpours in the immediate area, wind chills below 10 degrees, temperatures above 100 degrees or extremely icy conditions. Le Pooch does not travel in level 2-3 snow emergencies. Our goal is to keep your pet(s) and our staff members safe at all times.

Do you charge extra for holidays?

There are no additional fees to book for holidays. Please see cancellation/refund policy above for Holidays.

Le Pooch holidays include New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.
